Some otherwise healthy people have a slow pulse, even if they are not athletes. If you otherwise feel absolutely fine and your heart rate is 45 or greater, you still might want to call your doctor's office to see if you always have a slow heart rate. If your heart rate is slower than 45 or you have any symptoms, such as fatigue or decreased exercise tolerance, you should call your doctor's office to arrange an appointment.
